NLI Orders

A reader’s ticket is required to access the Reading Rooms. To apply for a ticket please click here.
You must have your reader's ticket with you in the Reading Rooms at all times.
Material is delivered to the Reading Rooms twice per day at 9:30am and 2:00pm
Reading Rooms are open on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9.30am – 1.00pm NLI Opening Times
Main and Microfilm Reading Room:
- Material ordered by 2.00pm on a working day will be available from 9.30am the next day.
- Same day delivery is available for material ordered by 11.00am (10:30am on Saturdays). This material will be available from 2.00pm (11am on Saturdays)
Manuscript Reading Room:
- Material ordered by 2.00pm on a working day will be available from 9.30am the next day
- Material ordered by 5.00pm on a working day will be available from 2.00pm the next day
Up to 8 collection items may be ordered per delivery.
Most off-site material is now available and this is indicated on the item’s catalogue record.
Off-site material must be ordered at least 5 working days in advance.
